For the second successive year On The Verandah, the Poseidonion Grand Hotel’s restaurant, received the prestigious award for Greek Cuisine from the Golden Chef’s Cap awards. The accolade is recognition of all the hard work of the hotel’s team and the creativity of its chef, Stamatis Marmarinos, with his insistence on using only the finest fresh ingredients to create unique dishes.
The award is also acknowledgement of the entire gastronomic experience that the On The Verandah restaurant offers its diners, in which every dish created is seen as sacred. The protagonists are always the fresh ingredients and the flavours, with the chef, Stamatis Marmarinos, selecting the best produce from Poseidonion’s organic farm on the slopes of Spetses, as well as from local producers and other regions. Remaining loyal to Greek cuisine, traditional recipes are transformed into modern dishes.
The contemporary menu selection offered at On The Verandah creates an interesting antithesis to the well known traditional Greek flavours, served in the magical setting of the Poseidonion’s idyllic verandah.
